This is a planthopper. Leafhoppers have long spines on hind legs. This specimen looks like Stenocranus vittatus, but Dr. Hamilton will know.

You post good photos and just thought you'd like to know why Bug Guide is THE Premier insect ID website. In the last 3 years, we've averaged 800 million hits per year ... and that's growing. Keep those good photos coming. I've got your moths, leafhoppers and psocids covered. I don't even attempt to touch anything else :)
