Neoclytus scutellaris (Olivier) - Neoclytus scutellaris

Neoclytus scutellaris (Olivier) - Neoclytus scutellaris
Killingworth, Middlesex County, Connecticut, USA
July 20, 2012
Size: 9.7 mm (frons-elytra tip)
Collected 9 July 2012. It had alighted on the deck of my house, adjacent to state forest with mixed hardwoods. First of this species I've encountered in 30 years of collecting in CT (N. acuminatus is far more common here, in my experience).
