This looks to be T. resonans
Given the pruinosity (white + powdery dusting) dark brownish color, and shape, I suspect resonans. In living individuals, the eyes of this species are usually a dingy purplish grey or brown.

Tibicen resonans is one of the largest cicadas in the Southeast exceeded only by Tibicen auletes. Do you recall if the cicada was >2 inches including wings? If so, then resonans it must be.

I increased the sizes of the images above and examined them more closely - I am convinced this is T. resonans!
