12 spotted skimmer - Plathemis lydia - female

12 spotted skimmer - Plathemis lydia - Female
Halifax, McIntosh Run Trail, Nova Scotia, Canada
July 20, 2012
Size: about 607cm long
3 brown spots on each wing makes it a 12 spotted skimmer I believe, I dont think there are any other dragon flies with similar wing patterns. This is a female, the male has white spots in between the brown spots.
