Found a large number of these on Opuntia flowers. These two were mating it appears.

More reminiscent of Perdita or Macrotera
Note that the male has bright yellow mandibles...and it seems that most Halictid males have antennae that are longer than possessed by this one in the picture. We'll wait for Dr. Ascher's comments on this though :)
