Skipper on Queen Anne's Lace - Calpodes ethlius
Shallow Ford Natural Area, Alamance County, North Carolina, USA
July 27, 2012
This skipper looked to be in rough shape based on the wing damage. Found nectaring on Queen Anne's Lace

Moved
Moved from Grass Skippers.

Probably Brazilian Skipper
based upon faint spot pattern on HW below, reddish brown ground color, wing veins, and abdomen appearance.

Both worn and damaged
Probably Crossline skipper female but condition prevents a definitive ID. Lots of similar skippers and could be something exotic like Ocola skipper..
