Please forgive my ignorance!
Ken—
Thanks for getting me [close to] the right ID!
I'm a newbie here, so I'm a bit curious: If my image has been moved off the ID Request page, then how do "the experts" to whom you refer, know to review the image for a final or best determination?
Thanks for your help!

Many of our experts don't look in ID Request
They check the recent photos in their areas of expertise. For more insight about why we move pics (and where you might want to post them), check out
this article
.
The important thing to realize is that the ID process doesn't stop just because an image is moved; it continues until it can't be taken any further.
And in case no one has said it... Welcome to BugGuide!

Thank you ... and thank you!
Ken— Thanks so much for the link to an overview of image-moving; it was/is super helpful! While I will be totally out of my depth in
Hymenoptera
, my damselfly post could probably go to
Zygoptera
.
Thanks, too, for the welcome to
BugGuide
! A "simple"
photo-a-day project
snowballed into registrations at
BAMONA
and
BugGuide
with the goal of learning what critters frequent my area. It's been quite an education, but as a professor I've been told by students that I'm all about learning!
Off I go to move my own image!
