Definitely H. diffinis.

Hemaris, yes
but I don't think it's H. thysbe. Looks more like H. diffinis with the black legs

 
Diffinis seems a better match...
I'm no expert, but the diffinis does look like a better match, color-wise at least, than the pictures of thysbe I was able to find.

Just learned about this site and I think I will be visiting more often.

Humming bird moth
This is definitely a humming bird moth. I am no expert, but my guess as to which species is Hemaris thysbe. I wouldn't have it moved to that area until someone with a bit more expertise weighs in on it though.
