Found on goldenrod. Not sure what these ants are or what they are tending.

Formica sp. (fusca group) - workers
Most likely F. montana. They are tending Treehoppers (Membracidae) nymphs, maybe from the genus Entylia. These are honeydew producers, just like Aphids.
