Life Cycle
Adult females oviposit in flower heads of Asteraceae. The short, stout larva of Campiglossa live in the ovaries. Many species are reported to be monophagous, some oligophagous. Campiglossa genalis is a generalist, known from at least 38 species in 16 genera of Asteraceae. (Goeden 1994)
