Bright Green Caterpiller in the BWCA, MN - Antheraea polyphemus
Red Rock Lake - Ely, Minnesota, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness County, Minnesota, USA
August 5, 2012
Size: Approximately 2 inches
Bright Green Caterpiller found in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness on Red Rock Lake. I'm thinking it could be a Luna Moth Caterpiller... Many Thanks for sharing your time and expertise - Charles Habermann

Moved-Polyphemus moth
Moved from ID Request.

This larva, although similar in appearance to the luna larva, is actually a polyphemus moth caterpillar (Antheraea polyphemus).
