Marsh Fly - Dictya pictipes

Marsh Fly - Dictya pictipes
West Newbury, Essex County, Massachusetts, USA
August 6, 2012

Moved
Moved from Dictya.
Identified from specimen by Bill Murphy.

Dictya sp.
In the genus Dictya, in the Western Hemisphere only D. ptyarion Steyskal can be identified without dissecting the genitalia. In the Old World, the sole Dictya is D. umbrarum, so identification is effortless.

Dictya sp.
Bill I saved this specimen and a few others. I can send them to you if you still want to look at them.
