The closest match I found to the dorsal pattern was
Bembecinus
...
...but it's not perfect. Also, we don't have many images in the Guide, and I have no idea whether or not they're found in FL.

Wasps
Thanks. I am currently cataloging wasps in my area I have over 60 different kinds photographed and a lot of them identified on my website with some help from Dr. James Wiley at the Florida Museum of Entomology. I know I have seen at least 3 or 4 bembix wasps down here, I am trying to back track and find the different ones, Ill post them when I find them.
