moth - Stigmella multispicata
9249 London Rd., Orient, Pickaway County, Ohio, USA
August 7, 2012
Is this a Stigmella spp? Does anyone have defined further?

Moved from undescribed hickory-mining species.

Cited as a distribution record for Stigmella multispicata in:

Nieukerken, Erik J. van, Daniel Owen Gilrein & Charles S. Eiseman. 2018. Stigmella multispicata RocienÄ— & Stonis, an Asian leafminer on Siberian elm now widespread in eastern North America. ZooKeys [in press].

Moved from Stigmella.

Moved from Nepticulidae.

This is a Stigmella. nite the collar comprising lamellar scales, a good character for Stigmella and only a few other nepticulids.
This may be the undescribed species that feeds on Carya.

Moved for Specialist Review
Moved from Moths.

I'm thinking something in the neighborhood of Ectodoemia

Certainly something close to that
