ID for a Florida panhandle skipper? - Hylephila phyleus
Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida, USA
August 7, 2012
This orange-colored skipper was visiting a variety of flowers beside the Wet Prairie Trail in the Tarkiln Bayou Preserve State Park. I’m not at all familiar with Florida skippers, so I have no idea which one this might be. Any information will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
Fiery Skipper crossed my mind, as it is the one I see most commonly see out in California, but I didn’t know whether there might be another similar one in the southeast. This is the first report for Escambia County, so it helps to document the distribution of this species.
