First described in 1881 by Augustus Radcliffe Grote as Heliophila farcta

Explanation of Names

farcta is Latin for "crammed or stuffed full, fattened (as by force-feeding)". According to the original species account: "Allied to adjuta and lapidaria, but much stouter"
