Mask Hunter Assassin Bug Nymph (Reduvius personatus) - Reduvius personatus

Mask Hunter Assassin Bug Nymph (Reduvius personatus) - Reduvius personatus
Utah, USA
August 9, 2012
Size: 1/8"(4-5cm)
I found this bug on the wall of my bedroom a few nights ago. At first glance I thought it was a jumping spider. It was very tiny and very tricky to get a photo of. I have a macro lens, but even then it didn't help much. I had no idea what this bug was, but could tell it had 6 legs after watching it walk slowly around a bit. I also noticed the antennae. The dust is what really through me off because it looked like a walking dust bunny, and upon looking at the photos and zooming in I could see there was not regular pattern though a few colors. Luckily it looks like lots of people on line have also found these dust covered bugs and wanted to know what they are.
