Baetidae
Hi Steve-

This is a female subimago of family Baetidae. Can you estimate it body length in mm not including tails? Also, might you have another photo from which I could better determine whether it has a minute hind wing or no hind wing?

I have no other images so I added a blow up of the base of the wings. I don't see any hind wings.

I don't recall the size but doubt it was over 5 mm because I would have gotten a closer shot. It could have been smaller if I was using an extension tube but I don't recall ever seeing a mayfly that small. Sorry for the ambiguous answer.

Thanks for the blowup of the hind wing area. I would agree that this mayfly does not appear to have a hind wing. My good friend and fellow entomology enthusiast Kurt Schirmer believes that your mayfly is of genus Centroptilum or Procloeon, and (now strongly) leans toward the latter.
