Size: larger than T. dorsatus
This is the 6th species of cicada I have encountered in my suburban yard. It was only a bit larger than T. dorsatus, but much louder when alarmed and handled.

Moved from Cicadinae.

Tibicen auletes
This species is the largest member of the Genus as occurs here in teh USA
