This goes with preceding image of beetle-like insect on fringe tree leaf. Here are contents of rolled-up leaf. Need help identifying this and possible connection with beetle. Cocoon is 8 mm.

See comment on the photo below. I'm not sure what to make of the fact that this cocoon isn't suspended by a cord of silk at either end as the other one is.

The cocoon belongs to a braconid wasp that parasitized the Gracillaria syringella larva whose frass this is.
