Pipevine Swallowtail Pupa (deceased) - Battus philenor

Pipevine Swallowtail Pupa (deceased) - Battus philenor
Lane Spring, Phelps County, Missouri, USA
April 7, 2012
Found on building near stream/woods. Could this be the Pupa of the Black Swallowtail Butterfly - Papilio polyxenes? And ... is there something wrong with it, like past time when it might be viable or hatch?

THANKS!
