Aplocera plagiata

Aplocera plagiata
Farnham, Quebec, Canada
August 16, 2012
This moth was attracted to the fluorescent desk lamp I put near the open patio door. It settled on the patio door ledge. Photo taken at 6:05 AM. There is some wild St-John's wort (Hypericum, probably perforatum ) in the fallow fields nearby. I identified it visually from photos on mothphotographersgroup.msstate.edu and bugguide.net It was easy to photograph with my Canon powershot 1200 digital camera. This is my first submission to Bugguide.net.
