Coriarachne? - Coriarachne brunneipes - male

Coriarachne? - Coriarachne brunneipes - Male
Cowichan Valley, British Columbia, Canada
August 21, 2012
Size: ~6mm body length
Found on the deck. I found a female in the same area before, which turned out to be Coriarachne:

This fellow has pointed carapace hairs, suggesting Coriarachne as well?

Sorry about the quality of the palp shots. Seems I have to work on my lighting there too.

Quick question... should I post additional images of crops for relevant detail (like the dorsal/carapace hair crop here), or post a single larger resolution image? The former makes for a more cluttered series I guess. The latter takes up more space and would only be visible to other editors though.

The ventral view of the palp, which showed a curved tip on the embolus, is what the species ID was based on. The retrolateral view of the palp was also helpful.

I don't think you need to post any more images of this specimen. The ones you've posted do a good job of showing what the spider looks like from different angles.

Thanks. I probably should've asked the question in the forum rather than here... I meant whether as a general policy it would be better to submit single larger images, or multiple crops.
