This looks like Vargo image of male 8443 – Hypena bijugalis at MPG.

I think you're right about genus. I had a feeling I would grab a couple by mistake when moving 50 moths at a time. :-)
But as far as species, it looks to be a
Hypena sordidula
, which I believe is known from Missouri despite the MPG map.

Yep,
Hypena sordidula
looks better. I saw the snout and thought it sure looked like
Hypena
so I looked until I got close then stopped since I wasn't sure if I was even on the right track.
Thanks for all the work you do for BG. If you get 1 in 50 that's good enough for me but I'll bet it more than a little better than that. ;-)
