You make a good point.
I have always referred to the larval phase as "DF larva",
and thought of their terrestrial/aerial lives after metamorphosis as a separate life, but for the purpose of BugGuide (with the limited capability to differentiate the phases of life) immature should certainly refer to the larval form. Thanks for the correction.
