Tiger Moth - Apantesis phalerata
Fairfield, Wayne County, Illinois, USA
July 18, 2006
Size: 2 - 3 cm
I think it is an Apantesis species but would appreciate input.

Moved
Moved from Banded Tiger Moth.

Steve, every indication
is that your moth is a Banded Tiger, Apantesis vittata.

Thanks
Jacques. Is there a reason we have no other images on the species page?

Black spots on collar
signify A. phalerata
