Red and black wasp - Euodynerus castigatus

Red and black wasp - Euodynerus castigatus
Lake Placid - Archbold Biological Station, Highlands County, Florida, USA
August 25, 2012
Size: 12-15mm approx
This looks similar to shots I have had of Parancistrocerus fulvipes but it also looks similar to Pachodynerus erynnis, so it is probably something else entirely. Hopefully it is at least a Potter Wasp.

Moved
Moved from Euodynerus.

Moved
Moved from Potter and Mason Wasps. This could be species G but I can't rule out E. castigatus rubrivestis.

Moved
Moved from Ants, Bees, Wasps and Sawflies. Sorry, meant to put this in Eumeninae in the first place.
