Size: bigger then a dime
My children and I were enjoying our day outside.
when my son noticed this spider crossing his path.
Never seen one like this before. May someone help us please and thank you

Onslow County?
Based on the location of the photographer at the time?

Moved to Sphodros rufipes
Moved from Spiders. Nice one.

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

...
I'm going to move this image to "Spiders (Araneae)" so that it doesn't get lost in the recesses of ID request. Experts who can confirm the ID check that folder regularly.

Purseweb Spider?
I don't usually try to ID Mygalomorphs so don't take my word for it ... however I think it closely resembles this Redlegged Purseweb Spider (Sphodros rufipes).

It looks like you are right o

cropping
Please make sure to crop down just to the bug any images posted for identification purposes

Thank you, for the heads up o
Thank you, for the heads up on this. I just joined bug guide still in the processes of learning the dos and don'ts. Once again thank you much
