Size: bigger then a dime
My children and I were enjoying our day outside.
when my son noticed this spider crossing his path.
Never seen one like this before. May someone help us please and thank you

Purseweb Spider?
I don't usually try to ID Mygalomorphs so don't take my word for it ... however I think it closely resembles this Redlegged Purseweb Spider (Sphodros rufipes).

I hope you don't mind I've replaced your image with a cropped version. That's a good question, I don't know if they're endangered or not, I didn't see them on the endangered species list but I think some insects/spiders can be difficult to keep track of. Maybe one of the experts will know.
