Mallophora
This is actually a
Mallophora
.
Mallophora
and
Laphria
are both nice bee mimics, but only distantly related (
Mallophora
is in the subfamily Asilinae,
Laphria
in the subfamily Laphriinae). The easiest way to tell the two apart is by looking at the last segment of the antenna: Laphriinae have it fat, Asilinae have it thin (like here). Hope that helps!
