Nontarget moth - Macaria lorquinaria

Nontarget moth - Macaria lorquinaria
Montana, USA
Lots of these little guys show up in our rosy gypsy moth traps. I'm just curious - anybody know what they are? Image can be frassed after ID or a reasonable period of time.

Thanks,

Looks like Speranza lorquinaria
These look like Speranza lorquinaria to me, see , but they also look like the Charles Covell specimen on the MPG Speranza marcescaria page here.

I'm wondering if that specimen is possibly a misplaced lorquinaria, as it does not like the photos other photos on MPG, or those on BOLD, or on in the guide. I'd be interested to hear other opinions on this specimen.

.
With the dark markings on the ST line near the costa , your choice looks better than mine. As to the Covell specimen - I see your problem there as well. Jane & John Balaban referred me to Christi Jaeger at MPG who prefers to have questions sent either via Moths on Facebook (which I don't do) or to mothphotographersgroup@gmail.com. She was very responsive to the ones I referenced.
