Pisaurina mira

Pisaurina mira
Reed Turner Woodland, Lake County, Illinois, USA
August 9, 2006
Size: 3-3.5 cms
This reminds me of something in the Running Crab Spiders (Philodromidae). Any comments?

Nursery Web Spider
Excellent image!

This is a female Nursery Web spider, Pisurina mira. The leg arrangement is similar to a Philodromid, but the "outlined" pattern on the abdomen, the shape of the carapace (head) and the eye arrangement ruled out a Philodromid. :)
