Camouflage moth - Anavitrinella ocularia - Female
Tehachapi, Kern County, California, USA
August 8, 2012
Size: 1 inch
A hidden moth on the wall in the bathroom at my wife's vacation home in the mountains. What kind is it?

MPG Photo Use
May I have permission to use this photo at Moth Photographers Group (MPG)?

Moved from Iridopsis.

Female
Antennae without pectines = ♀
Note, the discal spots on the hind-wings are not hollow. Therefore, this is probably not a member of the genus Iridopsis.
This might be a female Anavitrinella ocularia. (western) However, we don't have any example images, other than the specimens on MPG and BOLD.
Key features on the PM lines that may not always show up in images:
1) - Sharp inward-pointing tooth on the fore-wings, near the inner margin (sometimes smooth or indistinct)
2) - Sharp outward-pointing tooth on the hind-wings, near the costal edge

State Abreviations
Sorry to offend you. It was just a simple mistake due to my children running around distracting me.
