Perfectly harmless, beneficial, and beautiful orb weaver
We have a difficult time deciding if these are unusually patterned Araneus marmoreus or unusually patterned Araneus diadematus. We'll leave that decision to the folks who have more experience with these than we.

A. diadematus?
I'm certainly not very experienced with orb weavers, but I suspect this is still in A. diadematus territory despite the unusual look. It's similar to this:
With weaker white spots in places.
