Agelenopsis - Agelenopsis oregonensis - male

Agelenopsis - Agelenopsis oregonensis - Male
Cowichan Valley, British Columbia, Canada
September 2, 2012
Size: ~10mm body length
Found on the side of the house. He's quite chubby for an adult male! Unlike most grass spiders I've worked with, which freak out whenever something moves nearby, this guy was cooperative and calm.

Seeing as how he was so patient, I thought I'd fiddle around lighting on the palp shots and add some from the back. Unfortunately, it didn't work out as planned and ended up obscuring some of the finer details. Hopefully not too badly.

Unequivocally A. oregonensis. Perfect angle for the palp shot.

Moved from Spiders. Great shots!

Terrific
Another great set of images.

Thanks
Thanks, Steve!

Another A. oregonensis?
The palps look similar to what I got here:

But I see some differences. Maybe just due to the angle, I'm not sure.
