Harvester butterfly larvae - Feniseca tarquinius Mohican State Park, Ashland County, Ohio, USA August 30, 2012
After decades of searching, I finally found my first Harvester butterfly caterpillars on a Wooly Aphid infested Beech tree. Finding this cluster of Harvesters was like hitting the motherload! I have no idea how many individuals are in this cluster, but I'd guess close to a dozen.
