Odd Spider - looked like an ant - Castianeira cingulata

Odd Spider - looked like an ant - Castianeira cingulata
waterford, Oakland County, Michigan, USA
September 1, 2012
this spider was found in my home; it came out of a bathroom faucet when i turned it on after being gone for 4 days; looked like an ant at first glance; not very large. I have been tracking all spiders in my house this year after my wife was bit 3 times in the head and had to go to doctor for antibiotic shots to fight of the infection. it lasted over a week and the whole side of hear head and neck was swelled. we have no idea what did it, but figured it had to happen during her sleep. It really freaked us out and know I have the need to know just what the heck is in my house!

Harmless
Male spider, probably something in the genus Castianeira (Corinnidae). Maybe something like Castianeira cingulata:

These are harmless.
