you see, it's not even a matter of sharpness or clarity, it's the only way to assess and grasp the gestalt -- so much so that more often than not a poor but straight dorsal is worth a dozen of oblique angles (the latter may well be of great use, too, in some cases -- but usually as supplementary evidence only)
