ant cricket - Myrmecophilus oregonensis
Hoquiam, Grays Harbor County, Washington, USA
September 4, 2012
Size: 4mm
Found under rocks in clay soil on a hillside. They seemed to be living in association with a carpenter ant colony, as that was the only place where they were found. They can jump about 3 inches, and are very fast.
