Six-spotted Forester - Alypia langtoni

Six-spotted Forester - Alypia langtoni
Pittsburg, Coos County, New Hampshire, USA
August 5, 2006

Moved
I never even considered the Six-spotted Forester, but that's what it sure looks like, and I was up in the northernmost part of NH, about 5 miles from Canada. Thanks for catching that!

Interestingly this looks
more like the images we have posted under A. langtoni -- white head, orange thoracic shield, orange bands across the back on all the abdominal segments. Is that a more northern beast that you are likely to have up there?
