"It is a very common species in the west where the larva feeds
mostly on Castilleja (Indian Paint Brush). It also occurs across
Canada and pops up in the Northeast as a greenhouse pest on
Geraniums. AK, KY, ID, ME, MA, NH, NY, PA."
