Caterpillar on wild grape -

Size: about 4.5cm long
Found this caterpillar on wild grape. Eight spotted forester looks a close match for colour but seems much bumpier and hairier than this one.

photo looks like a good match and he describes it as similar to eight-spotted forester but without the long hairs (setae). He says to 4 cm for size - but caterpillars are hard to measure, being so stretchy.
