Found on goldenrod. Tachinid egg near head.

I tried to pry the tachinid egg off without success. Looks like he's doomed...

Don't know how one would choose
fly over moth or vice versa, but seems like you could just smash the egg with tweezers. We also don't know how you would know if the egg has already hatched???
