Birdseed Weevil - Sitophilus

Birdseed Weevil - Sitophilus
Fargo, Cass County, North Dakota, USA
September 2, 2012
After pouring some new bird seed in my feeder, I noticed a weevil making its way up the side. Then another. While I kept looking, I noticed more weevils moving around in the freshly-poured seeds.

I wasn't sure where to put the location of the weevils. The bag was crawling with them, so I figured they must have been there for a while. I've bought bird seed from that store for years and not yet had weevils in any of it. So I figured they must have traveled with the seed - from Red River Commodities, located in Fargo, SD, according to the back of the bag, though I discovered them in my back yard in Alexandria, Virginia.

Thank you!
Should I leave its location as I have it?
