Wetsalts Tiger Beetles from north Alvord Basin - Cicindelidia haemorrhagica
North Alvord Desert, Harney County, Oregon, USA

I'm guessing this is a female that had just oviposited. It was "flexing" the red tip of its abdomen in-and-out and, though I don't remember for sure, I think this is the same individual as below:



The two photos were taken about a minute apart. Both photos was taken during a single visit to the locale below:
