Cicurina? - Cicurina - female

Cicurina? - Cicurina - Female
Cowichan Valley, British Columbia, Canada
September 11, 2012
Size: 3.5mm body length
Found under some bark. I think this is a Cicurina. The smallest I've found so far if so! Of the species in BC, I think the epigynum best matches C. tersa (p. 24, fig. 15a of Exline 1936), but I'm still having trouble with these Cicurinas.

Hah, now that you've moved it, I should add that I have no experience whatsover with Bla.. bla.. blabomma.

From Rod Crawford
Unfortunately I can't see too many epigynal details in this image, but the appearance (perhaps deceptive) of a sclerotized "flap" at the posterior edge, doesn't match any Cicurina known to me, or Blabomma either. At first glance the epigynum shot bears a certain superficial resemblance to Tegenaria domestica, but it certainly can't be that based on body features...

Sclerotized flap
I think it is an illusion. I've seen it happen when the lighting gives a false impression. Still working on that.

I'm willing to believe that it's Cicurina, and I agree about the lighting (and lack of submersion) throwing things off. But I don't think you'll get this one to species level any time soon.
