female Trimerotropis maritima
Common grasshopper in Oklahoma, but for some reason few have been photographed from there. They like sandy areas (sometimes gravel over sand).

If you drive a few miles east and look for some sand, you can add Arkansas to the BugGuide map for this species. :0)
