I have taken this picture in my garden. If you guys can confirm that this is a baldfaced hornet, it basicaly means that it is now found in Quebec. Also is this a male/female/worker?? thanks in advance for the ID. I will include two other pictures of the same insect from other angles

Confirmed - but not so new for the "Belle Province"
Dolichovespula maculata has always been found throughout southern part of Québec, particularly around Montréal and in Eastern Townships. Maybe you didn't notice it until now because it was not so plentiful as it is this year. To my knowledge, the only Eastern Canadian province which lacks the Bald-faced Hornet is Labrador/Newfoundland
