Katydid in New Brunswick - Scudderia curvicauda - Female
Hanwell, York County, New Brunswick, Canada

Size: 2.5 cm
This large katydid was found at the edge of a sphagnum bog south of Fredericton. It flew in front of me and landed at the top of a dead grass stem. I submitted this to Birding NB and was urged to submit it to BG for positive id.

It is great to get more Orthopteroids from NB on here. I remember this one from last year. Let's hope 2013 is even more productive...
