Size: about 8cm wide
I believe its Question Mark (Polygonia interrogationis) but it seems unusually orange, I thought it normally was more black for the bottom half of its wings?

This is the latest a Question Mark has been posted for Nova Scotia. The HW starting to show purplish cast for winter form.

Most butterflies dissapearing this time of year around here, this was a late season treat.
